Take Action Together

There are many ways we can take action together to demonstrate being responsible environmental stewards, citizens and consumers. The sky is truly the limit!

We volunteer to clean up parks and waterways, write letters, mobilize for bikeways, plant trees, and find creative ways to inspire others toward more sustainable actions and lifestyles. Our group has even adopted a street in central Austin in support of Keep Austin Beautiful (see Scheduled Activities and Events calendar for more info).

We can help businesses and individuals to see the light (a green, blinking light!) to help them learn more about conservation, renewable energy and green building. For example, existing city Austin Energy programs include:

•  Green Choice Program
•  Solar Rebate Program
•  Plug-In Austin: Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles
•  Green Building Program

Although we can accomplish great things together, we are limited without leadership. Please consider helping GreenGirls to take action together. You can start by attending meetings and getting involved.
