What GreenGirls.net Means to Me

How can I not be passionate about the environment? I am certain that it nurtures and sustains me and is at the center of a high quality of life. I am a GreenGirl and I am not alone. We can learn a lot from each other to live healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable lives and to help our communities move in the same direction.
I try to live lightly on the earth and vote with my dollars. For example, I drive an electric scooter. 
By doing so, I am minimizing my contribution to greenhouse gases and global warming. No noise pollution either, because the motor is silent. I can go up to 35 mph and 20-25 miles on a full battery charge (depending on the number and grade of hills I encounter), which is plenty sufficient for me. And by being a GreenChoice customer, my driving is fueled primarily by wind power! Is that clean transportation, or what? I am very excited about electric transportation that uses clean, affordable,and reliable energy resources. I want to see more electric vehicles on the road. Let's make it happen through our choices.
GreenGirls.net is about bringing women together to meet each other, to develop friendships, and take leadership roles to ensure that we achieve our personal and collective goals and dreams. GreenGirls.net helps women to live healthy, balanced, interesting and fun lives connected with nature and each other.
Just as a healthy tree needs many leaves to help it grow and sustain itself, so do we need each other. 
GreenGirls.net is working towards growing a healthy tree with a strong trunk, branches and many leaves. Through our shared vision, association and activities, our communities become stronger and healthier.
We each carry seeds of inspiration about our most heartfelt desires. When we share them with others, we create possibilities beyond our own hopes and dreams.
