It’s time for our 2nd Annual Spring Campout! This year we've planned a trip with family and friends to Lake Georgetown on Saturday, May 2nd.

Lake Georgetown is less than an hour drive north of downtown Austin. The lake provides many fun activities for visitors including hiking, biking, boating, swimming, and fishing. For more information, please visit

Event: GreenGirls Campout
Location: Lake Georgetown, Russell Park
Date: Saturday, May 2nd
Check-in: after 10:00am on Saturday
Check-out: by 10:00am on Sunday

Details:
We have reserved a group campsite (prepaid). This site allows for several tents and includes a sheltered area. Check in starts at 10am, and we must check out by 10am on Sunday. Once you arrive, you can let the gate attendant know that you are staying in Russell Park Shelter #1.

The group site has water, an electric outlet for small appliances, a fire ring, group grill, picnic tables, and vault restrooms.

On Saturday at 6:00pm, we will have a potluck meal (bring food to share). **If you cannot stay overnight but you would like to join us on Saturday for the potluck, you are still welcome to participate. Please be aware that you will be required to pay a $4/car day use fee if you are not camping overnight.**

Campsite fees: The group campsite, which can accommodate up to 50 people, has been prepaid. We will collect $15 from each group that is pitching a tent, i.e., $15 per tent.

Payment: Once you RSVP to confirm your spot, you will be expected to make payment on the date of your arrival. Please see Joni Gilton or Autumn Mesanko on Saturday the 2nd.

What to Bring:
· Tent
· Sleeping Bag
· Sunscreen
· Water
· Food for your own lunch on Saturday and food for the potluck dinner on Saturday (starting at 6pm). You'll also need to bring food for your breakfast on Sunday.
. Eating utensils, cookware, etc.
· Optional: hiking boots, fishing gear, swimming attire, mountain bike

If you are in need of a tent or sleeping bag, please let us know when you RSVP. If you have extra sleeping bags or tents (or are willing to share space in your tent), please let us know when you RSVP as well.

Please consider carpooling!! If you have space in your car or are in need of a ride, please include that in your RSVP.

Directions:
Driving north on IH 35, take exit 261a (Williams Drive or FM 2338). Turn left on Williams Drive at the light and continue for approximately 6-7 miles to Lake Road/3405. (You will see 3405 soon after you pass the Quick Stop gas station on your right). Turn left on Lake Road/3405 and continue approximately 1 mile to Russell Park Road/Country Road 262. Turn left and follow the road approximately 2 miles to the park.
