We invite GreenGirls to join us for a lively planning meeting to finalize the details of our kickoff event to be held on October 18th, our Adopted Street Cleanup and Potluck. This month we will meet for breakfast at 10:00am on Saturday, Sept 20, at Austin Java Cafe, the one located just a block away from Pease Park (address below).

We need your energy, your enthusiasm, and your fun-loving spirit. Come and get excited about reaching out to new members and bonding with old friends.

In addition to folks needed to help with street cleanup, we also need volunteers to help make this an incredibly successful and enjoyable event. Ideally it would be great to pair up, i.e. have two women sign up for each role, to make things more fun!

• Spokesperson for radio interviews on KO-OP and/or KUT (for those interested in making this happen) - TBD

Park reservations are required to guarantee the picnic table area for our kickoff. If you would like to help us raise money for this purpose, we would certainly welcome your donations. As of September 19, we have raised $20 toward the $60 reservation fee required by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department. Donation details will be provided via GreenGirls.net News.

Our monthly breakfast meetings are a great way to meet interesting women who are not willing to accept the status quo and are moving in a direction that is in alignment with core values and being responsible, healthy citizens and consumers. We enjoy getting connected, making new friends, sharing ideas and information, and finding new and interesting ways to inspire others in our communities.

If you are passionate about the environment, drawn to or curious about being more green, consider yourself invited. If you would like to meet other women who are on that path, please come.
